Verdict

A cracking little finale with in-form types clashing. Mister Chiang found his latest handicap rise too daunting the last day and is best watched in what could well prove a tactical battle with the Johnston topweight and easy Musselburgh victor, Euro Implosion, looking to run the finish out of their rivals. In contrast, both Funny Man, seeking a four-timer, and the hat-trick seeking Five Helmets have been landing the odds with a strong finishing kick. It's a tricky call but EURO IMPLOSION seemed to relish the cut in the ground last time and receives a narrow vote. Philonikia is unexposed and the one to note in the market for the Ralph Beckett team.
