Veteran Lucky Beggar is having another good season and would have finished closer over 5f here last time had he not been hampered. Mo Henry can probably be forgiven a poor run last time at Wolverhampton but Excessable is probably best at Southwell nowadays with stablemate Gullane One of more interest at the weights. Though penalised for completing a double in amateur riders’ races at Hamilton, HARD SOLUTION is still very well treated on last year’s form and Sean Kirrane claims a handy 5lb. Brazen Bolt remains unexposed on Turf and should find a race at this level but he is returning from a break.
