Verdict

IMSHIVALLA, a dramatic improver for Richard Fahey last season, won four of her last six starts in 2014 culminating in a battling success in a competitive York handicap. She's failed to find that level in three starts this term but has been highly tried and now takes a considerable drop in grade. Jack Garrity takes off 3lb in addition to the 4lb she's been dropped by the assessor this season and hopefully she can produce a timely return to form off this mark. Go Sakhee got no sort of run last time at Windsor but Roger Varian still applies first-time blinkers to the gelding here. Red Charmer, in good form this season, faces a 6lb penalty for a recent win and needs to progress again whilst Ribblehead disappointed last time but is useful at best. Mick Easterby tops and tails the handicap with Cactus Valley and Warlu Way who are preferred in that order.
