        Verdict

        Aside from a below par effort in Listed company on unsuitably soft ground, WALL OF SOUND ran consistently well last season. She ended the year with an impressive win at Haydock and Tom Dascombe's filly gets the vote. A 12lb rise for winning at Goodwood in May proved beyond King Of The Danes in later races and he has something to prove now, while Dance King's victory came in a maiden contest at Brighton and he'll find this tougher. The latter's stablemate Maven makes more appeal as he won over track and trip in August and should figure back on fast ground.
