In depth

Verdict

Al Kherb, the only course and distance winner, has mainly been racing over hurdles but ran quite well under Sarah Bowen on his return to the Flat last month. CALCUTTA DREAM hasn't had a lot of racing and was returning from a long break when scoring over 1m2f at Newcastle. Serena Brotherton rides and, with the longer trip likely to suit, she can steer him to a double. The Resdev Way has managed to win a dozen times and, though possibly better over further, a strong gallop would play to his strengths. Saulire Star is 0-18 and, though very consisten,t is unproven at this trip while Jamih, who is 1-27, isn't certain to repeat his very good run on his return at Catterick last month.
