Verdict

City Of The Kings won over the C&D in August and looked ready to score again soon when a close third to Butler here last month. AILSA CRAIG also scored over the C&D in August and is back on the same mark. She's had her excuses for subsequent defeats and this looks her chance. Hail Bold Chief was in very good form over a mile last summer but ran poorly at Haydock last time and Rosbay is a more likely threat as he won comfortably over the trip at Newcastle and the handicapper has dropped him a couple of pounds despite two reasonable efforts. Hidden Glory is rated 8lb lower than on the all-weather but all four of his victories have been on an artificial surface.
