Having won the Epsom Derby Trial back in 2013, Mirsaale won for the first time since when scoring at Catterick last week. But that was over 1m6f and he carries a penalty for this. Swift Emperor has now won three of only four starts but he steps up in trip and has yet to encounter soft ground and MARAAKIB is preferred. The latter rattled-up three wins at the end of last season and will find this much easier than his recent reappearance in the Spring Mile at Doncaster. Polar Forest is weighted to reverse running at Redcar with the selection but is having his first start of the year and Felix De Vega is preferred on a recent fourth at Doncaster with Nathan Evans' allowance further helping his cause. 3.45
