Naburn won over the same distance at Catterick but was well beaten in an amateurs race last time while Travel was tailed off at Doncaster having rattled up a hat-trick on the all-weather earlier. Jan Smuts finished just ahead of Longshadow when second at Redcar and makes more appeal than Sergeant Pink over today's trip.
