The concluding handicap can be fought out by Dart and Danzatrice and the vote goes to the former. The James Fanshawe-trained selection had shown a fair level of form before dotting up in a Southwell maiden last December, and he has enjoyed a decent break since then. The yard is in pretty good nick and being a half-sister to a winner at this trip gives every encouragement that she can kick off her season in style. Danzatrice is guaranteed to stay this far and also acts on any ground, so if you are thinking of taking on the selection then she looks strongest in opposition, and she can be very competitive from this mark. Blue Jet is another who will relish conditions but needs a drop in the weights on recent evidence and is opposed tonight. Double Deputy is 13lb below when last seen winning on the flat three seasons ago, but is not the force he was then and would be a slightly surprising scorer, whereas Ashmolian wouldn't after a decent run over a similar trip at Folkestone last time. Even so Dart looks nap material here in what can prove the lucky last.
