      Verdict

      PYTHAGORAS was beaten a neck on his debut at Ayr before comfortably landing a Beverley maiden. Both runs were on fast ground so prospective punters will be taking a chance he acts on this going. Innse Gall came here for a nursery last month and got up close home so, with further progress likely, he should make a bold bid to defy a 6lb rise. Zookeeper has attempted to make all in his three starts, all on quick ground, but hasn't been able to keep up the gallop while Rishworthian's victory at Thirsk came over 6f. The remaining pair look to have a bit to find.
