      Verdict

      After a fair debut at Sandown, HIGHLAND SPRING led for a long way at Newbury in a race that’s working out well. He has less on his plate here and can make it third-time lucky. Game Management found only one too good at Thirsk and is likely to improve again as he gains experience but Elegant Appeal may need more time. Alacrity makes most of appeal of the four newcomers as she is a half-sister to four winners including the smart Albaflora and Alyssa.
