In depth

Verdict

An interesting affair with Misaayef and Tango Cat likely to be mastered by Banners Flying, an encouraging second on his Nottingham debut in March. The son of Zafonic was noted staying on steadily on that occasion, and will improve for the step up in trip. Tango Cat looks to be going the right way as well, having finished clear of the remainder when chasing home another Hills inmate, New Orchid, at Newcastle last time. Misaayef and Merrymaker give Sir Michael Stoute two bites at the cherry and it would be folly to leave either out of calculations entirely, but Banners Flying will prove tough to pass.
