        In depth

        Verdict

        This wouldn’t be the worst maiden ever to be run here. Alablaq showed ability in decent company last year for Ed Dunlop but has had more than a year on the sidelines and debuts for David Evans. Shobiz certainly wouldn’t be winning out of turn and came up against a nice prospect last time at Lingfield but it’s interesting to see SALEYMM reappearing this late in the campaign. By Dubawi out of a Listed winner, he was very green when making his debut behind the smart Snow Lantern at Newmarket in the spring and is open to any amount of improvement. Closing Bell can also improve on her fourth at Kempton in August and Nizaaka is another having a first run on Turf.
