Eeh Bah Gum has been showing blistering pace on fast ground, making all for his hat-trick and never looking likely to be caught. However, he's up 8lb and this is a better race. Marnie James won a York handicap at this level in July though he was receiving 13lb from EXCELLENTLY POISED, who was beaten around three lengths, and the latter must have a fair chance of reversing the form and taking this. Seen The Lyte completed an early season hat-trick and has continued to run well from her new mark while Quayside dropped back to this trip at Haydock and won convincingly, though that was a Class 5 handicap and he's 6lb higher.
