In depth

Verdict

None of these are in particularly good form and veteran Cabal, who finished fifth at Wetherby on Monday, has not managed a win over this trip in 16 attempts. Nonno Giulio is a previous course and distance winner, however, and Connemera Queen has also won at the track. So has MAUREB and she has been placed over a mile on Polytrack. She can be forgiven her run over 6f on soft going at Carlisle last time and is probably the one to beat on an earlier second at Catterick. Drago has won twice on Tapeta but is essentially a plater.
