        Verdict

        Lexikon went close at Newcastle recently when beaten a neck but collateral form gives him something to find with recent third Alfred The Grey. The latter can figure while better is expected from Kensington Art and Ransomed Dreams this season but a weak handicap can go the way of MUSHAAGEB (NAP). Roger Varian’s charge has yet to win but posted a much better effort at Windsor a fortnight ago on his first start on Turf and may prove good enough if another change of headgear has the desired effect.
