Bakr has changed stables for the second time after a convincing victory at Kempton in January. Her original trainer runs River Tweed, who started favourite at Newcastle last month after a promising start there but finished lame. Highest Wave finished six lengths in front in that latter event and should have come on for the run but Dream A Little appeared to get outpaced at Kempton before staying on and another furlong wouldn't go amiss. CAPE SUNSET made his debut at Windsor back in May and though never in contention stayed on strongly from the rear so gets the nod to make a successful return to action.
Bakr 14-1 (9-0) Chased leaders, pushed along over 3f out, effort from 2f out, led over 1f out, clear well inside final furlong, readily, won at Kempton 7f mdn stks (5) pol in Jan beating Leisurewear (9-0) by 2 1/2l, 10 ran.
Cape Sunset 40-1 (9-11) Restless in stalls, slowly into stride, off the pace towards rear, headway chasing leaders and switched left over 1f out, ran on inside final furlong, never nearer, 3rd of 15, 4l behind Boomshalaa (9-9) at Windsor 6f stks (5) gd in May.
River Tweed (IRE) 9-4jfav (9-3) Raced keenly, tracked leaders, disputing 2nd over 3f out, ridden over 2f out, soon beaten, weakened from over 1f out, 7th of 10, 14 1/4l behind Abbey Heights (9-3) at Newcastle 6f stks (5) pol in Sep.
Dream A Little 7-1 (9-0) Mid-division on inner, pushed along 2f out, headway over 1f out, kept on final furlong, 3rd of 9, 6 3/4l behind Thaler (9-5) at Kempton 6f stks (5) pol in Sep.
