Verdict
Quite a nice little contest with Tim Easterby firing a couple of arrows at the target with LITTLE JIMMY ODSOX, not out of the frame in five runs last term, looking the more likely of the pair. The son of Namid looked in need of his Ripon reappearance and should strip fitter now. He's only had six career starts to date and there could well be further improvement for his handler to work with. He handles forecast conditions and the step-up to a seventh furlong looks well within his compass. Ruth Carr has done a splendid job to coax Beckermet back to form in the last 18 months and the old boy should deliver another good account, whilst Koo And The Gang's only success away from Southwell arrived over C&D. He's been given a nice break after going hurdling and looks fairly treated. No Poppy, stable companion of the selection, also merits respect.
