Earlsmedic is well-treated and Stuart Williams' charge must be respected, especially if support arrives ahead of his venture north. However, in the absence of a market to guide us we'll side with CHUSKA for Bryan Smart and Adam Carter. The latter has proved himself adept in the saddle this season in riding winners for this yard and has an obvious chance to add to his tally here aboard Chuska, a filly who ran well from this mark of 70 last time following a facile Ripon success. We'd be slightly concerned about quick ground for this daughter of Pivotal but she has gone well enough on a similarly quick surface before to suggest she can overcome the problem and score. Sea Salt has only one eye but plenty of heart and should give it another good shot despite being high enough in the weights while Ronnie Barr's other two Just Sam and Foreign Rhythm also enter calculations with conditions to suit. Mata Hari Blue looks dangerous given his liking for quick ground and he ran as well as could've been expected in the mud recently, while in contrast Hitches Dubai can be opposed over this trip as can Red River Boy.
