Efidium knows his way round here and his yard have a good record in selling and claiming contests at the track however EL DECECY is dropped in grade and is fancied to see off Andorn. The market may be a good guide to the chances of the two horses most recently mentioned, but rated 79, El Dececy really should be good enough to see these off. He ran well in defeat at Pontefract last time out and is now dropped into selling grade for the first time in his career. He likes quick ground, has a top jockey aboard and is fancied to gain a fifth career win. Efidium has 11 career wins to his name, including 4 at this track. He is dropped in class again having been outclassed in a decent handicap at the end of last season and would be interesting if ready to go. Andorn is the second highest rated in the line-up but it is hard to back any horse from the yard with confidence. If the market speaks out very strongly then he would be of interest but one assumes that having dropped 18lb in the handicap in three runs since coming across from Germany, it may be a handicap that he takes later in the season when dropped further down the handicap. Flying Bantam and Legendary Guest are two more for consideration but it is El Dececy who really should win this.
