In depth

Verdict

Bubbling Fun may be the answer to a race not to get too involved with, while Eboracum, Havetoavit and Rhetorical are others who can be involved. The selection has been running consistently at around this trip and beyond this summer and is capable of running a big race off this mark. Distance and going suit her well, and another good run looks assured, so we give her the vote as the percentage selection. Eboracum found the step up to a mile-and-a-half too much at Thirsk last time, but will prefer this drop back to 10 furlongs. She does look to have pretty much the one pace in her races, and she has a fair bit to find to win, but she may again be good enough to make the frame. Havetoavit comes from the in-form James Bethell yard, and he might also benefit from a drop to this trip after going further on all six starts as a three-year-old. He can make his presence felt, but again has a bit to find with the selection. Sir Mark Prescott could provide the fly in the ointment though. He runs Rhetorical, who was mediocre at best as a juvenile, but enters handicap company for the first time on the sort of mark from which his trainer has farmed races like this in the past. Watch the market for any confidence in his progress at home, but without prior knowledge we stick to safety first here, and Bubbling Fun to small stakes.
