In depth

Verdict

The feature race at Redcar looks a bit more competitive than the first two races on the card, with at least three in with major chances. Raybaan has been knocking at the door all season, with three seconds from from his last four starts, including when caught on the line at Lingfield last time. The slight drop back in trip should be in his favour. Polish Corridor lost his maiden tag at Pontefract and, although having a bit more to do, could be on the upgrade. As mentioned in the previous race preview, it does not pay to leave Barry Hills out of calculations, so Crystal Valkyrie enters the short-list. She meets Raybaan on five pound better terms than at Warwick and should reverse the form, but it is sure to be close. Crustal Valkyrie just gets the vote.
