Easy Target has solid claims on the pick of his form but Bryan Smart's colt may struggle under his big weight in a contest that has traditionally gone to a horse carrying less than 9st so preference is for Vive Les Rouges, with New Jersey rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is less exposed than most of these after just three starts and Chris Wall's filly has shown improved form in each start, latterly when chasing home Fashion Rocks in a Listed race at Salisbury. Given the possibility of further improvement, she looks worth a wager. Jamie Osborne's Mr Keppel has won each of his last three starts, the last two in nurseries, but may find this represents too big a step up in class. Howard Johnson's Art Advisor has been highly tried in recent outings and could be of interest, particularly if able to reproduce the form shown when second to Winker Watson in the Norfolk Stakes. Richard Fahey's Broken Applause is another worthy of a mention but a bigger threat is likely to come from Kevin Ryan's New Jersey who has been highly tried of late. Vive Les Rouges has plenty going for her though and she is preferred.
