There is rarely a bias in the draw at Redcar in events of this nature so speed and stamina are the two requirements to look for when trying to narrow down the field. However, the booking of Darryll Holland for Blessed Place is enough to swing the vote in the three-year-old's favour today and he is just preferred over the unexposed Musical Fair and the Alan Berry-trained pair, Frascati and Robwillcall. The selection has put in his best performances when he has been asked to race up with the pace from the outset and is adaptable with regard to his best trip. He has a useful turn of foot on his day and the strong handling of Holland can see him home today. Musical Fair has shown enough pace in her races to suggest that the drop to the minimum trip will not be a problem, but she is steadily creeping up the weights and has a little to prove after a slightly disappointing effort under a penalty last time. Frascati is preferred out of the Berry duo but he will have a little to find with Blessed Place if all goes to plan.
