Verdict

Gordon Elliott has won five of the last seven and PRENDS GARDE A TOI was bought for €155,000 after finishing second to D B Cooper in a point at Ballyknock in April. The winner, also now with Elliott, bumped into one when runner-up on his bumper debut at Fairyhouse on Friday and the form looks rock-solid. Winning point-to-pointer The Passing Wife made his Rules debut in what looked a strong maiden hurdle at Cork and Gavin Cromwell must believe he has the pace for this. Soir De Garde will obviously be of interest as he's a half-brother to the top-class State Man and two other winners. The remainder make little appeal.
