Lady Olwyn bounced back from a very poor run at Tramore to score readily at Fairyhouse and though 7lb higher if still in that kind of form would be a threat to all. MR EKO, who won twice over fences in the spring, took advantage of a lenient handicap mark over timber to score here a couple of weeks ago and is still well enough treated to complete a quick double. Courtncatcher is still a maiden but has been running really well in tough handicaps and it will be his turn soon while Followmeuptocarlow, who was just in front of him here last time, hasn't had much racing and looks certain to be in the shake-up. Happy New Year is well handicapped over timber but has now had 20 career starts without winning.
