Ballymadun took advantage of very testing conditions to land a Gowran handicap for which he's been raised 5lb. Runner-up Ash Rowe was having his first start since November and was only beaten narrowly so with a 3lb pull he can reverse the form though Fly Round The Bend was in the lead when unseating his rider at the second last so has to be considered. Euro So Brave had been threatening to win for some time before doing so at Fairyhouse where he was always travelling nicely so a 6lb rise doesn't look insurmountable. Nobody Home scored over fences at Kilbeggan though failed to take advantage of a much lower hurdles mark at Bellewstown but ARTIC PEARL was heavily supported at Fairyhouse last time and might have won but for his saddle slipping at the last and can gain compensation.
