GRANGE can gain compensation for a narrow defeat by Mr Eko over the C&D a couple of weeks ago. Raised 11lb for his earlier victory at Tipperary, he still looked in need of the experience on what was only his sixth start and another 4lb rise shouldn't prove a problem. Supreme Bob made a very nice handicap debut when narrowly beaten by Khan Tengri at Tipperary and must go close here though a 7lb hike in the weights could prove his undoing. Popmurphy, a useful performer on the Flat, will be making his handicap debut from what could prove to be a lenient mark while Appletime is improving with each run and there was plenty to like about his latest effort at Fairyhouse. Hop In ended his first season over hurdles early with a fine effort over this C&D on New Year's Eve and he'll be winning soon.
