Influential Lady went up 9lb for an easy first success on her 20th start over hurdles at Gowran but she's still 6lb out of the handicap so has it all to do. MIGHTY MEGGSIE (NAP) gave notice of an imminent success when beaten a neck in a maiden at Tramore and duly obliged with an easy victory at Down Royal. She starts out in handicaps off a reasonable mark and looks the one to beat. Wicklow Flyer made an impressive hurdling debut in a Kilbeggan maiden in July but was tailed off on a return visit a month later while Elegant Lass has been running well since scoring at Tipperary but is 13lb higher. Bonarc was a 100/1 chance when runner-up in a Grade 3 on the latter track and would have finished third but for the leader falling at the last though it was still an excellent performance.
