A Hardy Nailer has returned from a spell over fences in excellent form and beat subsequent winner Martello Park in a huge field of maidens at Navan. An opening handicap mark of 114 looks workable though the concession of 17lb, including jockey claims, to ALLEZ KAL (NAP) looks beyond her. The latter had been making gradual progress before a spectacular victory on heavy going at Limerick and dropping back in trip shouldn't pose a problem. Pat's Oscar won over this trip on heavy going at Perth and has found the minimum too short in her last three starts while Mary Frances couldn't cope with Grade 3 company at Leopardstown and is better judged on her earlier placed effort over this track and trip.
