Romella was completing a hat-trick when beating Ricky Langford in this a year ago but the runner-up arrives in much the better form having scored easily over fences at Killarney last week. The latter is now 4lb lower back over hurdles but meets another well handicapped type in ONE COOL POET (NAP), an easy winner from subsequent winner Doyenna at Down Royal. Matthew Smith's charge hasn't transferred that form to the Flat but can get back to winning ways over timber. Charles Byrnes had a tremendous pay-day at with Run For Oscar at Newmarket on Saturday and From The Ashes was well supported for a Tipperary maiden last week but appeared to find two miles too sharp. Morning Logic has shown some potential and makes his handicap debut while Delightfantastic has produced two good recent runs despite going up 12lb for scoring at Tipperary.
