Verdict

Mullaghanoe River has been making steady progress over fences and might have won at Down Royal on St Stephens Day but for falling at the second last. His previous second to Sizing Gold at Navan puts him right in the picture here. Si C'Etait Vrai has been taking on some smart performers and made Djakadam pull out the stops at Leopardstown. The winner's trainer, Willie Mullins, is represented by THE BOSSES COUSIN, who fell when travelling smoothly on his chasing bow at Thurles in February. He'll need to improve against useful rivals but looks the type to do so and gets the nod.
