ZANAHIYR appears to have been around forever but is still only six. A dozen of his last 14 starts have been in Grade 1 company and, though he hasn't won since landing a Down Royal Grade 2 two years ago, he's suited by the race conditions. His stablemate Andy Dufresne has been chasing since 2020, the year he won a Grade 2 over timber here. He's unlikely to have the pace of Run For Oscar, last year's Cesarewitch winner who has been in good form in top staying races on the Flat this summer without managing to win. He has some smart form over timber without matching that of the selection.
