Suyoof looks a nicely-bred newcomer who should pick up races for Mark Johnston, but LION MOUNTAIN is preferred for today, with both Najam and Raqeeb likely to show up well. The selection led everywhere but the line when introduced to the racecourse at Yarmouth last October, and has not been seen since. The ground should suit and this step-up in trip looks ideal, and though it is too early to say quite how well the Godolphin runners are, he should be capable of going very close. Najam makes her third appearance here, having not raced at two. Clive Brittain does well with his fillies and he is bringing her along steadily, so we should see some improvement today. Raqeeb was well beaten in a Lingfield maiden in November when very green and connections will be hoping for better this time. She has the pedigree to go well over 10f and she should improve. Suyoof has both speed and stamina in the bloodlines, and has presumably been showing more of the latter at home to be entered over this trip first up. There is plenty of success in the family and although he should come on for this run you wouldn't rule him out of being good enough to win it. Even so, Lion Mountain showed enough promise on his first run to suggest that he be king here.
