New Hampshire carries a penalty for last week's win at Catterick but that came on fast ground over a longer trip. He faces different conditions here and Little Rocky makes more appeal having got off the mark over 1m2f at Newbury in July. Kalk Bay recorded a double at Beverley last month and handles most types of going but Las Verglas Star has crept back up the weights without winning. SIRVINO hasn't won this year but, with an apprentice's claim taken into account, he's 9lb lower than when beaten three lengths in the Wolferton at Ascot in June. That form looks solid as subsequent dual winner Black Spirit finished runner-up and David Barron's charge can take this with a similar effort.
Sirvino 11-1 (10-0) In rear, ridden over 2f out, headway on outer over 1f out, one pace final furlong, 7th of 13, 3l behind Ahzeemah (8-9) at Ascot 1m 2f hcp 0-95 (3) gd in Jul.
Little Rocky 9-4 (9-6) Soon led, hard pressed over 2f out, hung right over 1f out, hard ridden entering final furlong, ran on well, won at Newbury 1m 2f hcp 0-95 (3) sft in Jul beating Troopingthecolour (9-7) by 1l, 6 ran.
Las Verglas Star (IRE) 16-1 (9-2) Chased leaders, ridden and every chance 2f out, weakened entering final furlong, 10th of 16, 8l behind Danadana (10-0) at York 1m 2f hcp 105 (2) gf in Aug.
Kalk Bay (IRE) 12-1 (8-10) Mid-division on outside, headway over 3f out, chased leaders 2f out, ridden to lead over 1f out, headed and no extra final 100 yards, 2nd of 16, 1 1/2l behind Danadana (10-0) at York 1m 2f hcp 105 (2) gf in Aug.
New Hampshire (USA) 5-2fav (9-12) Made all, clear 2f out, ran on well, eased towards finish, won at Catterick 1m 4f hcp 0-95 (3) gf beating Dark Dune (9-0) by 4 1/2l, 11 ran.
