      Verdict

      EILEAN DUBH scored in minor company in France and very nearly made a winning start for new connections at Wolverhampton. He then put a moderate run on the same track behind him to land a Class 3 handicap at Newcastle and a 2lb rise shouldn't prevent a double. Tangled completed a Carlisle double early last summer and is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark. Ramiro's three victories in Ireland came on testing ground which he's unlikely to get here while Yanifer produced a mid-summer hat-trick in Class 6 company and this is a step-up in grade. Valorant looked a nice prospect when landing a Sandown nursery for Roger Varian in 2020 but hasn't run for a year and has changed stables. Global Spirit hasn't won since 2020 and was well beaten on his reappearance at Ripon.
