Abbajabba is back over his best trip and is fancied to avenge his recent defeat at the hands of the hat-trick seeking Regal Song. Just a neck separated the pair when they ran over the minimum trip at Musselburgh earlier in the month and a pound pull in the weights allied to the extra furlong should be enough to see the tables reversed here. David Nicholls saddles no fewer than six, but the stable has yet to saddle a winner since the turf season started and Tom Tun, who continued his good all-weather form by running second to Cadeaux Cher in a good race at Doncaster last month, is a more obvious danger. Smart Predator boasted some solid form last season over various types of going, and with the stable's horses running well he should be fit enough to do himself justice on his seasonal return, while stable companion Rainbow Hill is something of a dark horse who drops back in trip and cannot be ruled out. Surprised had some fair form last year but would probably want a better surface and has been off for some time, while Fearby Cross won first time out last season and is a rare raider here from Willie Musson's yard, so should be noted in the betting exchanges.
