Clive Cox is enjoying a purple patch and this looks a good opportunity for CONQUISTO who is nominated over Island Vista and Taikoo. The selection showed some solid form last season when he looked quite progressive. He does have an absence to overcome but he has trip and ground to suit and if he is fit enough to do himself justice he should prove tough to beat. Island Vista is another returning from a break and it is a slight worry that her form tailed-off a little towards the end of last season. Taikoo ran well behind Persian Peril at Southwell last time and this slight step-up in trip should not inconvenience him. Hurlingham hails from a shrewd yard and he could be of interest if the market speaks in his favour. Remember Ramon was in good form on the all-weather over the winter but he was a little disappointing last month at Kempton and he has a bit to prove now that he is back on the turf. Conquisto makes most appeal and he can land the prize.
