MESBAAR made a belated debut at Leicester in June where he started favourite then reappeared at the backend of last month over a longer trip at Wolverhampton where he led for most of the way. He might just have more scope than Hats Off To Larry, who was only headed in the final strides over this trip at Goodwood and is certain to make a bold bid. Misscarlett made a very encouraging debut over 1m4f at Thirsk where she stayed on nicely so may just find this on the short side. Heron looked very promising when runner-up over this trip at Redcar but failed to make the expected progress over 1m4f at Doncaster, though he could have found the fast ground against him.
