Wins at Beverley and Hamilton have confirmed the high opinion that trainer Richard Fahey has of King¿s College Boy and he comes into the race in great heart. Conditions are in his favour, and even with a three pound penalty to carry he must go well. He is two pounds better off for a neck beating by Ryedane at Catterick and it should be close between them again. Ryedane has turned in a fine front running performance since to score at Newcastle, and he too carries a three pound penalty and must go well in his current form. Caribbean Coral is a hold up performer for whom everything has to fall right, but he is running well at present. He finished a close fourth, beaten only a length in a higher grade handicap at Chepstow last time, having scored from Bluebok, who has won in fine style since, at Warwick. He will be staying on at the finish and is a danger. King¿s College Boy won with some authority at Hamilton and can go in again.
