Cymro attempted to make all over the track and trip last time and battled back when headed, though that was on fast ground. Phyllis Maud had only two opponents to beat on her debut at Bath but did it very easily and, as that was over 1m2f, she'll have no problems with this trip. Percy Veer won a little race at Brighton and ran reasonably well in a Chepstow nursery but YOUONLYLIVEONCE showed major improvement when tackling soft ground for the first time at Nottingham last week. John Quinn's charge can run from the same mark here and is handed the vote. Dark Wave has completed a double over this trip on fast going and Polytrack so if he handles today's conditions he's likely to be in the frame.
