In depth

Verdict

Qwicken was a 125/1 chance when runner-up at Thirsk then started favourite at Carlisle where she failed to quicken. Today's extra furlong should be in her favour as it should for QUEEN'S HEIR, who was well supported for her debut at Beverley but badly missed the break. The latter gets the nod as Vieux Carre's narrow defeat at York came in a seller while Redcar winner Favourite Child was well held under a penalty on soft ground at Ripon. Eruption has looked as though she needed this sort of trip in both starts while Moon Bay has a speedy pedigree and is one to keep an eye on.
