Verdict
Van Gerwen has major claims at his best but has generally gone off the boil and is perhaps best watched in a race where there are question marks against most. Bibbidibobbidiboo has progressed from selling company to run consistently of late in similar handicaps to this and is respected accordingly despite having inherited a career-high mark of 70. Power To Exceed is the one arrive relatively unexposed and should be in the mix and both Round The Island and Avenue Of Stars can have cases made for their chance. However, a chance is taken with THE AMBER FORT. His best form brings him into the argument, he's gone close here in the past and Connor Murtagh's 5lb claim is more than useful. Hopefully he'll obtain a prominent position from a central draw and run his race.
