Verdict

DAPPER MAN started his winning streak with a course and distance success in May and took advantage of a lower mark back on the all-weather a fortnight ago. He’s returned a wide-margin winner on the last three occasions and there looks to be no stopping Roger Fell’s charge in his current form though he has a hike in the weights to contend with here. Corinthia Knight won at Wolverhampton before finishing last in the Wokingham while Angel Alexander failed to cope with a rise in the weights at Chester when attempting a hat-trick. Excessable disappointed last time but had earlier finished in front of both Fendale and War Whisper when runner-up at York.
