    Verdict

    Jaxta won well at Ripon on his last start and this is a belated follow-up bid as he has been gelded in the interim. Gifted Angel was bred with speed in mind and is respected but it appears significant that the in-form Roger Varian has just the one runner on the card so ALIF POWER could be capable of getting off the mark at the fourth time of asking. Beach Breeze ran in the Brocklesby Stakes but remains something of an imponderable as he has done all his racing so far on a significantly slower surface.
