Verdict

Law Of The Range won this last year on good to firm ground and finished a long way ahead of the disappointing Rhythm Of Light in the Windsor Forest at Ascot on her latest outing. She should be thereabouts again if handling the heavy going but this looks a decent opportunity for WINTER'S NIGHT to recapture the winning thread. She has placed form on soft ground in this grade and may be a little fresher than some of her rivals, having had a break since finishing just under three lengths behind Law Of The Range in a Group 3 at the Curragh in May when she was much too free in the early stages. Madam Macie ploughed through the mud to win at Hamilton last month while Dragonera will be staying on when others have cried enough and is preferred to Mid Mon Lady and Raasekha of the others.
