La Fritillaire won this last year when RIPTIDE was third, Tuscan Gold sixth and Madam Lilibet eighth. The winner continues in excellent form and beat Transpennine Star a nose over a slightly shorter trip here last month, with Tuscan Gold behind. There's nothing between the top two here but the selection is a massive 16lb better off for a couple of lengths on last season's run and can go in again. Tuscan Gold has beaten several of these in the past but has gone off the boil in recent weeks.
