Zafarshah is sure to attract support on his handicap debut. He seems fairly treated on his run at Folkestone last time and this may prove to be his ideal trip. Mana Pools won twice in June but may again be in the handicapper's grip now. Yakimov was some way behind her at Leicester and although he seemed to put up an improved performance at Beverley last time, he may be flattered by his proximity to Platinum Duke. Pepper Road got off the mark in a poor race at Musselburgh last time, but would still have a chance in this weak affair, while Highland Gait, who hails from a stable in form and drops back to what might just be her optimum trip, is one for the shortlist.
