        Verdict

        FLASH FIRE made a promising start in a better race at Ascot when third to Growl. He may just edge this ahead of Best Dressed. The latter faded in the closing stages over 7f at Doncaster and should prove better suited by today's trip. Maftool is another to consider on his debut second over 6f at Epsom as the third-placed horse has subsequently won. Properus is related to winners and worth noting on his racecourse debut.
