A very competitive renewal which is likely to be reflected in the betting. Final Venture is on a roll and deserves a crack at this higher level. Zebedaios is two from two but his Haydock win hasn't worked out and he has another 6lb to carry. Chaplin Bay is upped two grades and steps up a furlong after finishing second at Haydock but COMPTON PARK was unlucky at Doncaster and, despite a 3lb higher mark, should make his presence felt. There are also possibilities about Handsome Dude and the unexposed Majdool while Monarch Maid won easily at Salisbury. Sunraider won here off a 6lb higher mark in 2014 and a return to that form would put him in the picture, though he's twice finished behind Final Venture recently.
